The figure is incredibly detailed with Rey Mysterio’s tattoos and his signature 619 down the side of his pants. My 2-year-old son, who calls all wrestlers “Big Guys,” really loves Rey Mysterio’s flip kickin’ action. He activates the moves by pulling and releasing the figure’s arms or legs. As you can imagine, Rey Mysterio has flipped off the kitchen counter, various pieces of furniture and down the stairs. Luckily, Mattel has built a sturdy figure that can withstand the rough play.
MVP is also a highly detailed figure. In addition to his wrestling outfit, this figure comes complete with headband, chains, and nose strip. The figure also has MVP’s signature smirk on its face. My middle son loves MVP and plays with the figure all the time. He and his brother have built a makeshift wrestling ring to hold matches. I’m impressed by the figure’s articulation and versatility. Not only is the MVP figure a good wrestler, but it is also a good superhero who is a worthy adversary of Superman and Batman.
